11) Easy as pie: something is very easy表示某事易如反掌。
Ex: To a smart person like Joe, learning algebra is easy as pie.
對喬這種聰明的人,學習代數簡直易如反掌。

12) To eat someone alive: to defeat someone completely類似中文的「生吞活剝」,比喻把某人徹底打敗/打垮
Ex: If you jump into business without learning its basics, the players involved may eat you alive.
你若不學商業基礎就從商,其他(商)人會把你生吞活剝。
13) Eye candy: a person who is very attractive正妹
Ex: Audrey Hepburn was surely an eye candy; everybody loved to watch her.
奧黛麗·赫本絕對是正妹;大家都喜歡看她。
14) Glutton for punishment: someone who easily accepts jobs and tasks most people don’t want. 比喻:愛自找麻煩
Ex: Sam is a glutton for punishment. He just won’t say no to any task!
山姆真愛自找麻煩。他就是不懂得拒絕!
- Glutton一般指:貪吃鬼
15) To go bananas = Go nuts: to go wild and crazy 陷入瘋狂
Ex: Fans went bananas when they saw their idol.
粉絲們看到自己的偶像時陷入瘋狂。
16) Go fry an egg.: is used when you want someone to go away 要人滾開時說的
Ex: Go fry an egg! I need some time alone.
走開!我想要一個人獨處。
17) To go pear-shaped: means things going wrong 比喻事情出岔錯
Ex: Everything went pear-shaped at the outdoor ceremony after the sudden storm, making everyone upset and disappointed.
突然來襲的暴風雨使得戶外儀式整個大亂,並讓每個人都沮喪和失望。
18) Grain of salt = Pinch of salt: means to not believe everything that one sees or hears. 比喻不輕信他人
Ex: You should take his advice with a grain of salt. Not every word he says is worth believing.
你應該小心衡量他的意見。不是他說的每一個字都值得相信。
19) Half a load is better than no bread.: Getting part of what you want is better than getting nothing at all. 聊勝於無
Ex: My salary may be low, but half a load is better than no bread.
我的薪水可能不高,但聊勝於無。
20) Have your cake and eat it too: To want everything one’s way, especially when they are contradictory.魚與熊掌兼得
Ex: You can’t have your cake and eat it too. = You can’t have it both ways.
你不可以魚與熊掌兼得的。
