ASAP: As soon as possible 盡快

TBA: to be announced 即將宣布

Medical Terms 醫學相關

AIDS: Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome 愛滋病 (後天免疫缺乏症候群) 

          immune (a.) 免疫的  Ex: John is immune to hepatitis B. 約翰對B肝是免疫的.

ADD: Attention Deficit Disorders 過動(注意力不集中)症

CPR: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation 心肺復甦術 [有 "cardio-" 都是與心贓有關的]

DOA: Dead On Arrival 醫護人員到達前已死亡

TB: Tuberculosis 肺結核

OD念法為O-D分開念: Overdose on a drug 服藥過量

Ex: The superstar ODed on prescription pills and died.

DUI / DWI: Driving under the influence / Driving While Intoxicated 酒駕或用藥,吸毒後駕駛

ATM: Automated teller machine 或 automatic teller machine 自動提款機

CD: Certificate of deposit 銀行定存

HR: Human Resources 人事(部門)
